Q: What is an Assisted Living Hospice Neighborhood?
A: It is an area located within an Assisted Living Facility that specializes in caring for residents on Hospice in a calmer, serene, and more attentive environment. Our specially trained CNAs can provide higher assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, feeding assistance etc.) than non-certified assisted living care aides.
Q: Is this the same as a Hospice House?
A: No. A Hospice House specializes in pain management at the acute care (hospital) level and has RNs on the floor 24/7. We provide care at the assisted living level
Q: How does funding work in a Hospice Neighborhood?
A: As with any assisted living, you pay room and board, and Medicare pays for hospice services, supplies, etc.
